Every conversation you save with AI agents becomes part of your permanent knowledge base within CEO.ai. The Conversations tab serves as your central library, where you can browse, search, load, and continue any conversation you've preserved—or clone them to explore new directions while keeping the original intact.
Accessing Your Conversations
Navigate to Conversations
From your Dashboard or main navigation:
-
1
Click on the Conversations tab
Located in your main navigation
-
2
You'll see your complete conversation library
All saved conversations in one place
What you'll find:
- All conversations you've saved
- Conversations load progressively (a few at a time)
- Most recent conversations typically appear first
- Scroll to load older conversations
Understanding the Conversations List
Each conversation in your library displays key information:
Agent
The AI agent involved in the conversation
- • Agent name (e.g., "React TypeScript Expert")
- • Agent avatar/image
- • Quick visual reference to identify conversation type
Conversation ID
Unique identifier for the conversation
-
•
Alphanumeric code (e.g.,
conv_8k3j2n9x) - • Unique to this specific conversation
- • Used for direct linking or reference
Last Updated
Timestamp of the most recent activity
- • Date and time of last save or modification
- • Examples: "2 hours ago", "Yesterday at 3:45 PM"
Created By
User who initiated the conversation
- • Your username (for your conversations)
- • Team member name (in team/organizational accounts)
- • Helpful in collaborative environments
Load vs Clone: Understanding Your Options
For each conversation in your library, you have two primary actions:
Load Conversation
Opens the saved conversation exactly as it was preserved
You can:
- Review conversation history
- Continue the conversation
- Save again at a new point
- Download outputs
Effect: Works with the original conversation directly
Clone Conversation
Creates a new conversation starting from the saved state
Key features:
- Original remains unchanged
- Clone becomes separate entity
- Independent from original
- Can clone multiple times
Effect: Creates an independent copy you can modify freely
Load vs Clone Decision Guide
Choose LOAD when:
- You want to continue the existing conversation
- You're reviewing past work for reference
- You need to extract information from the conversation
- You want to extend the solution in its current direction
- You're resuming interrupted work
Choose CLONE when:
- You want to branch in a different direction
- You're experimenting and don't want to risk the original
- You need multiple variations from the same starting point
- You want to adapt a solution to a new context
- You're creating templates that will be used repeatedly
- You want to compare different approaches side-by-side
The Power of Cloning
Cloning enables branching without risk:

Common Retrieval Workflows
Reference Previous Work
Scenario: Need to remember how you solved a similar problem
Steps:
- 1. Navigate to Conversations tab
- 2. Scroll or search for relevant conversation
- 3. Load the conversation
- 4. Review the solution
- 5. Copy relevant code/patterns
- 6. Apply to current problem
✓ Result: Reuse proven solutions efficiently
Resume Interrupted Work
Scenario: Had to stop mid-conversation, want to continue
Steps:
- 1. Navigate to Conversations tab
- 2. Find the conversation (check "Last Updated")
- 3. Load the conversation
- 4. Review where you left off
- 5. Continue with follow-up messages
- 6. Save again when done
✓ Result: Seamless continuation of previous work
Explore Alternative Approaches
Scenario: Have working solution, want to try different approach without losing original
Steps:
- 1. Navigate to Conversations tab
- 2. Find the conversation with working solution
- 3. Clone the conversation
- 4. In cloned conversation, try alternative approach
- 5. Compare results
- 6. Keep both or choose best
✓ Result: Risk-free exploration while preserving original
Create Variations
Scenario: Need multiple versions of a component for different contexts
Steps:
- 1. Create initial component in conversation
- 2. Save when satisfied
- 3. Navigate to Conversations tab
- 4. Clone the conversation
- 5. Modify for Context A
- 6. Save as "Component - Context A"
- 7. Navigate back, Clone again
- 8. Modify for Context B
- 9. Repeat as needed
✓ Result: Multiple customized variations from one base
Troubleshooting
Can't Find a Conversation
Troubleshooting steps:
- 1. Scroll further: Progressive loading means you might not see it yet
- 2. Check filters: Ensure no filters are hiding it
- 3. Verify you saved it: Unsaved conversations don't appear here
- 4. Search by agent name: If you remember which agent
- 5. Team accounts: Verify you're looking in the right account/workspace
Load Button Not Working
Possible causes and solutions:
- • Network connectivity issue → Refresh the page
- • Browser cache problem → Try different browser
- • Conversation data corruption → Clear cache and retry
- • Still not working → Contact support with Conversation ID
Clone Creates Empty Conversation
If clone doesn't include original content:
- • Report bug to support
- • Try loading instead and saving at a new point
- • Attempt clone again
Loaded Conversation Won't Continue
If you can't add follow-ups:
- • Check credit balance (may be depleted)
- • Verify conversation context hasn't reached limit
- • Try cloning and continuing in clone
- • Check if conversation is marked read-only
Frequently Asked Questions
How long are conversations stored?
Typically indefinitely or according to your plan. Check platform documentation for retention policies.
Can I retrieve deleted conversations?
Usually no—deletion is permanent. Some platforms may have a trash/recovery period. Check before deleting important conversations.
Is there a limit to how many conversations I can save?
Depends on your plan. Most offer generous or unlimited conversation storage.
Can I export my entire conversation library?
Check if platform offers bulk export features. Otherwise, export conversations individually.
Do clones count against my conversation limit?
If limits exist, clones typically count as separate conversations. Check your plan details.
Can I make a conversation private in a team account?
Depends on platform features—check privacy/sharing settings if available.
